Lavish Music | Chillaz Listening Party

Toronto has a lineup of various artists that are unknown, rising to the top, and/or already successful musical artists, and Chillaz is another up and coming artist that is adding life to Toronto’s underground music scenery. I was invited to go to my first listening party which was showcasing music from Chillaz’s EP “Innermission”. It was located at the Chill Ice House in Toronto, this venue went hand in hand with the artist’s name and the concept of the venue was like something I’ve never seen before. It was a lounge that actually had a section made out of pure ice which now makes sense when the dress code stated “Dress Fashionably Warm”, then as you ventured toward the back, there was a second dimly lit lounge where it was significantly warmer than the first lounge.

Chillaz who also goes by Chilly Chillz has a recognizable R&B vibe, his music is on the same wave of Tory Lanez and Roy Woods. The party had an amazing turn out despite the event being held on a Monday night, it was catered and had an open bar which everyone wanted to take advantage of but couldn’t because of the weekday. Although, his EP has not dropped yet, it is definitely something to look out for and to add to your playlist if you want new Toronto music. You can follow him and his music at @chillychillz and
