Lavish Style | Summer Style in September

Summer is coming to a close; time to put away the short skirts, shorts and shades and bring out the sweaters, boots, and scarves. Usually, this time of year we would already be bundled up but it seems that global warming is taking a serious effect on us and providing us with awesome hot weather that we haven’t really experienced all summer, but honestly I am not complaining.

I love the draping of this dress and the material is really light and airy, I just have to be careful when I am wearing rings because it may pull the fabric. I originally thought that I could wear this dress without a bralette and have a nice cascading V- neck dress that would show hints of skin but this dress is way too flimsy and would expose literally everything. I also really love this nude colour, it is very different for me to play in neutrals because I am usually drowning in every colour of the rainbow especially because when the weather is nice. I want to start challenging myself to start wearing more black, beige/nudes/camels, maybe whites (if I can keep them clean) and start living a more neutral lifestyle when it comes to my wardrobe.

NEW MUSIC I’M FEELING

Jhene Aiko- Trip Album

This woman came out with a 22 track album which was common in the 90s but nowadays we are used to seeing 10-12 track albums. This whole album has been on a hard REPEAT for me for the past 3 days and you would think that because there are so many songs that they would all start to sound the same or you would get tired of the album entirely, but NO girl! Jhene knew exactly what she was doing with this piece of artistry. The album being called “Trip” was a perfect description because when you listen to the songs it makes you feel as if you have taken the most dangerous drug that brings you to high highs with songs like “New Balance” and “While We’re Young” but also brings you to really dark lows with songs like “Overstimulated” and “Oblivion”. While listening, I feel as if I am on a rollercoaster of emotions that I can’t explain.
