Met Gala 2015

This year’s theme for the Met Gala was “China: Through the Looking Glass” and I was very impressed by every one that came out to showcase their interpretations. While, there were a lot of hits last night, other celebrities came dressed as if it was a normal red carpet affair. The thing that I like about the Met Gala is that it allows you to experiment with fashion and push boundaries, you can wear extravagant Haute Couture pieces that wouldn’t necessarily make sense on a normal red carpet but makes sense for this event.

Kim Kardashian looked amazing but I felt that it was a no brainer that she would arrive in something revealing because well…she’s always naked anyway. Solange came ready to slay every one in her unusual dress by Giles and then along comes her sister, Queen Bey, wearing a next-to-nothing dress by Givenchy and looked AMAZEBALLS!!! I’m pretty sure that dress was all her and there was no nude lining underneath…can we say #bodygoals. Janelle Monae looked ravishing in H&M but should could’ve changed her hair, I love the style but she wore a similar hairstyle to last year’s Met Gala. Zendaya has been on my radar for quite some time now, she’s so young but already knows how to serve when it comes to the red carpet. I don’t know if she has a stylist or if she dresses herself, but whatever she’s doing it’s working.

SLAY QUEEN

Rhianna just continues to do it for me every time. I will erase that pink, fluffy couture gown that she wore for the Grammy’s from my mind and replace it with this and every other time she made me lose my mind. I really like the fact that she wore this outfit by Guo Pei because she stuck with the Chinese theme and it commands attention and I feel like you should do that every time you walk into a room.
BEST DRESSED

Beyonce in Givenchy, Anne Hathaway in Ralph Lauren, Janelle Monae in H&M, Jennifer Lopez in Atelier Versace

Joan Smalls in Roberto Cavalli, Karolina Kurkova in Tommy Hilfiger, Kate Hudson in Michael Kors, Kendall Jenner in Calvin Klein
Kim Kardashian West in Peter Dundas for Roberto Cavalli, Kris Jenner in Balmain, Solange Knowles in Giles, Zendaya in Fausto Puglisi

My favourite designer is Balmain and he never disappoints. I love this Jacket that Justin Bieber is wearing with the Chinese dragon print as well as the Chinese inspired buttoned down shirt. Justin is a cutie that turned into a hot man overnight, just stop acting like fool please and continue slaying my life with these type of looks.
