Emmy’s Red Carpet 2015
Another Emmy’s award show to showcase the work and talent of our favourite people that we love to watch every week and binge watch in a day. It’s also another award show to marvel at the fashion hits and misses on the red carpet. I didn’t really like Uzo Aduba, Viola Davis, or Regina King’s dresses but I love to see that black women are finally arising and getting the recognition that they deserve. It shows how far we’ve come but we all know that we still have a long way to go.
My slay queen of the night was Kerry Washington wearing Marc Jacobs. I liked it because it wasn’t your traditional evening gown that everyone usually wears to award shows and because it is sequins. I live for anything that sparkles!
Emma Roberts in Jenny Packham, January Jones in Ulyana Seergenko, Padma Lakshmi in Romona Keveza, Sarah Hyland in Zac Posen, Taraji P.Henson in Alexander Wang
Personally, I was expecting more from the red carpet (as per usual) but I still managed to like some looks. Emma Roberts looks like classic Hollywood glam, I love the fact that January Jones wore a jumpsuit instead of an evening dress but I’m not sold on the colour choice. Even though Padma’s dress is a “typical” evening gown, I really love the colour. Sarah Hyland is usually always on my best dressed list, she knows exactly what to wear for whatever award show she is attending. Taraji is giving all types of life and servation (yes I made that up)
